Residential construction is booming in the metro area! Last month we blogged about two Denver neighborhoods with hot development projects. But as more people are transferring or outgrowing their small city homes, builders are concentrating on locations outside of Denver. Here are a few worth researching!
CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO
In recent years Douglas county has received national attention as one of the best area to live in Colorado. In fact Castle Rock was recently ranked by CNN/Money Magazine as the fourth ‘Best Place to Live’ in U.S. Over the decades of transformation, this little city has held onto it’s historic, charming downtown. And now impressive spots are being built out like Miller Park, which is creating adventure for those who love the outdoors (a 200-step ‘Challenge Staircase’ climb, 7+ miles of trails and soon — zip lines!). Builders like Lennar Homes are buying up lots near areas like The Meadows to offer new builds starting in the low $400s.
LEYDEN ROCK NEIGHBORHOOD, ARVADA
For those looking in search of scenic views within the metro area, Arvada may be a great option. Leyden Rock is a neighborhood with ranch sites on the west side of town. Remington Homes are developing dozens of ranch homes on four cul-de-sacs with great views of Denver’s city lights. The homes will include private master suites and walk-outs and are priced from $399,950.
TRAILSIDE IN THORNTON
Neighborhoods within access of our city’s major highways of course are prime locations for commuters. So as the north area of the metro expands, KB Home selected acres of land called the Trailside in Thornton. Commuters can easily hop on I-25, Northwest Parkway, Highway 7 and even E470 east to DIA. Nearby is a park, the city’s network of trails and an Adams 12 school. For buyers looking for homes in the lower $300,000 there are four models to view.
